"Are Financial Advisors Worth It?" A Survey of US Consumers
The Objective
The client wanted to produce a content-rich, insightful research report and was open to ideas as to the exact topic. Together we agreed on a consumer survey on the perceived value of professional financial advice.
The Approach
The challenge was first to create a survey that would deliver rich insights without straining the budget or the respondent's attention span. I proposed a list of five questions that would create a solid narrative for the eventual report. It also included free text so that we could hear directly from the respondents in their own words.
The Result
The resulting survey delivered a nuanced and varied group of responses, although the main messages were clear. The survey questions meant that the bulk of the analysis was straightforward, aside from the free text responses which had to be scanned individually.
You can read the individual responses here in the raw data- they are quite interesting!
